Watch out for Rabbits, Hares, Pheasants, Herons (resident pair ½ mile away), Owls, Foxes, Badgers, Deer (especially in the woods and on the road at dawn and dusk), Buzzards (on top of telegraph poles mostly) and a pair of Ravens nesting in our woods in the valley.

3 acres of private woods with stream available at all times and another 6 acres of meadow; there may be cattle or sheep on the meadow at certain times of year. There are miles of local footpaths, forest and moorland.

There are many good walks around the area, notably the Nationally famous Coastal Path is only 1-2 miles away, and a public footpath next to the dairy in the farmyard at the top of the hill goes down a pretty walk through the next valley. There is open moorland and forest 5 minutes away.
